Hi there, Welcome to Your Place!
Our adventure began in 1851 with our flagship hotel, Georgian House. Built by my great, great grandfather William Chinnery Mitchell alongside star builder at the time Thomas Cubitt. Fast forward many generations…Now we are on a mission to continue to share the Your Place experience through our growing collection of hotels and B&Bs!

Your Places are waaaay ‘cooler’ than a traditional ‘hotel’, accommodation or B&B with an informal, relaxed service and beautiful spaces. Each of our locations ooze unique heritage and great central locations. An attentive service is certainly not scrimped on regardless of the property you choose.

Nestled in the heart of Pimlico,Georgian House is the antidote to chain hotel fatigue! Much ‘posher’ than a B&B but waaay more chilled than your standard hotel. Think sinking into the comfiest bed after an evening at the Theatre, enjoying a leisurely breakfast to set you up for a day of soaking up London for the day!

Tucked away in the heart of Pimlico, our elegant apartments offer the ultimate London experience. Picture yourself living like a local in a classic British townhouse, nestled in one of London’s poshest neighbourhoods! Take a leisurely stroll and find yourself in the fabulously fancy Belgravia or trendy Chelsea. Need to hop on a train? Victoria Station is just a stone’s throw away, so you can enjoy direct access to Gatwick Express services and explore London and beyond…

Let us introduce you to Bower House… Georgian House’s little city sister

Pimlico, London

Tucked just one street behind her older sister, Georgian House, Bower House sits on the idyllic Cambridge Street. Bower House captures everything that defines a Your Place property: an incredible central location, beautiful period features, timeless character, and of course Gabriel von der Heyde’s swoon-worthy design. What’s the difference? Bower House is an accommodation-only property, not a hotel, so there is no on-site reception or hot breakfast service, and room remakes are on request. Guests who book direct will have a breakfast bag delivery included.

At Bower House, you can enjoy the charm of a Your Place property at a more budget-friendly price point, and we think that’s simply marvellous!

Victorian House, Grasmere

Victorian House is waaay more beautiful than your typical B&B, oozing heritage and rustic charm! Think cosy nights in the snug, kicking off your boots after a day of exploring, sinking into the sofa with a great book!

Your Place FAQs

Are all Your Place properties dog friendly?

Not all Your Place properties are dog friendly. Dog friendly accommodation is only available at our Lake District properties and must be booked in advance, as availability is limited. Dogs cannot be accommodated in non-dog-friendly rooms. A flat £25 fee applies per stay to cover additional deep cleaning. If you arrive with a dog without a pre booked dog friendly room, we can only accommodate this if availability allows on the day.

How far are Your Place properties from train stations?

All Your Place London properties are within a short walking distance of key transport connections, including London Underground, overground, and coach stations. The Georgian House Hotel, Chinnery House Apartments, and Bower House are also conveniently close to Victoria Station, offering direct access to the Gatwick Express for easy airport travel.

In the Lake District, both properties are well connected while offering a more rural escape. Victorian House Grasmere is located in the heart of Grasmere village, with local bus connections available to nearby towns and Windermere station, typically a short onward journey by road. Rothay Garth Ambleside is in central Ambleside, with frequent bus routes linking to Windermere train station and surrounding Lake District destinations.

Parking varies by property. In the Lake District, both Victorian House Grasmere and Rothay Garth Ambleside offer on site or nearby parking options, subject to availability, making it easier for guests travelling by car. In London, parking is limited due to central locations, with public transport strongly recommended.

Are Your Place properties accessible?

Unfortunately due to the nature of our period properties they are not wheelchair accessible, there are steps up to the front across all of our properties and due to the nature of our buildings, some of which are listed they do not have any lists.

Can I request early check-in and late check-out at Your Place properties?

You are able to request early check-in and late check-out at our London properties, please note this is subject to availability. When booking directly we This is not something we are able to offer to our Lake District properties.

Breakfast service times vary by property across Your Place. Please refer to the individual property information or menu for the specific breakfast serving times at each location.

If you have any allergies or dietary requirements, please let us know in advance of your stay. Our kitchen teams are very flexible and will be informed ahead of arrival so we can do our best to safely and comfortably accommodate your needs across all Your Place properties.
